Hosting is where your website is stored, usually on a server in a data centre. The server is connected to the internet which pulls your website up, when it is visited.

Why do we charge a MONTHLY FEE?
At The Web Designer Group we have priced our Website Design packages to be extremely competitive and offer a much lower price up front. The monthly fee enables us to offer attentive after support, security and updates.
The monthly fee you pay every month covers your website for:
- Website Hosting
- Website Maintenance
- Website Security Updates
- Website SSL Security
- Website Plugin Updates
- UNLIMITED Access to our dedicated Support Portal – (This is where you can request us to make changes to your website for you)
NO MATTER HOW MANY WEBSITE CHANGE REQUESTS YOU SUBMIT, YOU WILL ONLY BE CHARGED THE SAME MONTHLY FEE.
Once the website is built, do I OWN THE WEBSITE?
The answer is simple…. YES.
At The Web Designer Group we would love for you to be a customer of ours forever…
However if you wish to do so at any point after your website is built, you have full capacity and ownership to take your website to another company. Domain names we hold can be transferred away subject to a £25+vat admin fee.
How do I PAY for a WEBSITE?
At The Web Designer Group we have several different payment options:
- Secure Debit / Credit Card Payments via PayPal & Stripe
- Bank Transfer
The monthly fee we charge is payable by recurring card payment, and starts 1 month after you have ordered your website.
Do I get access to the WEBSITE ADMIN Panel?
The answer is simple…. YES.
We provide all customers with a full Website LIVE email, which will contain your website login credentials, email credentials and copies of a HIGH RES Logo if we created one for you.
Using the website admin panel, you will be able to add pages, change text and add images easily. Or we can do it for you, which is included as part of the monthly fee.
Do I get the padlock feature on my website?
As standard we include SSL Security on all Website Designs. SSL Security is what enables the padlock on your website, and also helps you rank higher.
The reason why we offer this level of security as standard is because Google ranks website higher which have padlocks, and we want all of our customer websites to do well.
Can I add pages to my website myself?
The answer is simple… YES.
You will have full website admin panel access, with the world’s leading CMS: WordPress. This will allow you to add pages with just a few clicks.

What happens after I place an order?
Once you have placed an order, you will receive an email confirmation of your order.
Next you will receive an email / phone call from your allocated Account Manager, who will walk you through the entire process of creating your new website.
It doesn’t stop there, your Account Manager will always be on hand even after your website has gone live for any questions, changes and advice you need.
Your Account Manager will also provide you with a login to our dedicated support centre, where you will find video tutorials, guides and EXCLUSIVE discounts to other business products and services.
Who looks after the website maintenance, security and updates?
WE DO! With every package we look after all of the website security, maintenance and updates so you don’t have to.
Will my website show in Google?
YES! As we’re Google Partners all of our websites are optimised for Google. We develop all our websites to be Google Friendly, and we will even submit your website to Google once your website is ready to go live, just to let them know about your new website.
Will you add all the products to the online shop package?
Yes, we will provide you with a spreadsheet template to fill in once you have ordered your website.
Will you write the website text/content for me?
We can write the website text/content for you for a small fee of £85 per page. Simply speak to a member of our team when placing an order, we can write 1 page of content or all of it… The choice is yours.
Are the pay monthly packages ongoing?
Yes, we charge you the agreed monthly fee every month. We look after all the website hosting, domain fees, website security, updates and maintenance. Our pay monthly packages are on a 30-day rolling contract and you can leave at any time, but we would prefer it if you stayed.
What happens if I need changes to my website?
Once your website is ready, you will receive a set of login details to access your website’s admin panel and a login to our dedicated client portal. You can make any changes you wish to yourself using your easy to use website admin panel. Alternatively you can raise a support ticket through our client portal, and we will do any small changes for you for FREE!
Are there any hidden fees?
We provide clear and transparent pricing with any annual renewal fees etc before your place an order. We have NO HIDDEN FEES. If you have any questions regarding pricing please call us on 0800 9055 999 for further details.
Do i have to supply my own images / photos?
You would need to supply your own images / photos. Please ensure you have permission to use any images / photos you provide us with. Alternatively when ordering your website, simply purchase our Photo Pack Website Extra, and we will carefully choose relevant high resolution photos for your Website. If you opt for our Photo Pack Website Extra, then any photos we use for your website will be copyright free in high-resolution. We source all of our photos for customers websites from Adobe Stock as we are Adobe Certified.

How can I collect certain information from my customers?
You can do this easily by purchasing our Custom Contact Forms Website Extra. Custom Contact Forms can be customised to gather any information you want to collect from customers, including text, text area, files, email addresses, and telephone numbers. You can have different custom contact forms on each page of your website to gather the required information for that particular page.
Can I add more pages to my website after it has gone live?
YES! If you order a package with a set number of pages, this basically means that we will design that amount of pages for you. However you can add UNLIMITED new pages yourself from your website admin panel. Alternatively you can always speak to your account manager, and we will be able to design and add the new pages for a small fee.
Do we provide CPANEL ACCESS?
Unfortunately we don’t provide Cpanel access due to security reasons.
How to avoid copyright infringement penalties
Don’t use pictures from Google Image Search, Pinterest, or any other image directory on your website. Instead, take your own pictures or order our Photo Pack Website Extra when ordering your website.
